Capture offer a comprehensive range of both semi-automatic and fully automatic biomass boilers suitable for burning, wood pellet, cereals, wood chip and logs.
We can advise you on the most suitable biomass option, which usually depends on the following factors:
- The size of the space you are trying to heat
-
What resources you have available to you
- How much manual effort you are able to put in
Pellet is the best solution for most small to medium scale projects and generally involves the least interaction with your boiler. Pellet boilers are highly automated and wood pellet is a very energy less space is needed for storage. With suitable storage facilities, you can receive blown deliveries of wood pellet, in much the same way as an oil
tanker will deliver fuel- this can mean no manual handling of fuel.
Woodchip boilers are highly automated and are the best solution for medium to large scale projects, such as district heating system for complexes of holiday cottage. Woodchip boiler installations generally have significant initial capital costs and require a large amount space.
Cereal. Many of our biomass boilers are suitable for burning cereals such as corn or barley, this is often attractive to farmers.
Log boilers require more manual labour and interaction than other types of biomass; however, if you have an abundant supply of free logs running costs can be minimal and capital costs are reasonable.
