Capture offer three general options for storage of biomass fuels illustrated above and can design and build bespoke solutions for larger projects where necessary.
1. Boiler integrated storage:
The hoppers on these types of pellet boilers are filled up using bagged
pellets and need to be replenished every few days to every couple weeks,
depending on the size of the hopper and the your usage. For the majority
of homeowners this equates, at the most, to emptying 3-4 15kg bags into
a bucket every few days- no more than five or ten minutes work.
2. Readymade boiler houses: These external units house the pellet boiler and an extended hopper, the
hopper needs to be manually filled, either by hand or with a front loader if you have access to one. These larger hoppers only need filling every 1 – 3 months, depending on usage. Often this is the cheapest and simplest solution, especially in properties where internal space is limited as the boiler houses can be delivered pre-constructed and pre-plumbed.
3. External storage options:
These larger pellet stores are suitable for blown deliveries, meaning
lower cost for pellet deliveries, less frequent deliveries and no manual
handling of fuel. The pellet is transported to the boiler via an auger
or vacuum tubes.
