Low Carbon Buildings Programme
The table above outlines the grants available to domestic for renewable energy installations under the LCBP. Grants are non-means tested and you can claim up to £2,500 in total from this scheme.

The grant is paid retrospectively, but must be applied for prior to commencing your renewable energy installation. Certain energy efficiencies measures must be satisfied in order to claim the grant, such as having low energy light bulbs in all suitable fittings.

We will provide specific information required to complete the application when you decide to go ahead with your project.

Reduced VAT
If we are carrying out an installation of a renewable technology we charge domestic customers the reduced VAT rate of 5%. However, where we are supplying materials only VAT is charged at the standard rate (currently 15%).
