System Options

Solar Hot Water systems have many applications. Some of the most suitable applications are

  • Domestic hot water
  • Swimming pools
  • Campsite Shower Blocks
  • Carehomes
  • Holiday Lets

Examples of installations can be found in our Case Studies.

There are two main types of solar panels

1. Flat Plate

These are the most popular types of panel we supply.  Collectors can be installed in the following configurations:

  • On-roof
  • In-roof
  • A-frame (flat roof or ground mounted)

We install Roth flat plate collectors in on-roof applications and Velux flat plate collectors in in-roof situations.

Beneftis of Roth Solar Collectors

  •      German Manufactured
  •     High performance output
  •     Solar Keymark approved
  •     Glass covering and polycarbonate casing – no chance of rusting in salty air enviroments

Benefits of Velux Solar Collectors

  •     Solar Keymark approved
  •     Asthetically pleasing
  •     Ability to integrate with Velux windows
  •     Range of sizes

2. Vacuum tube solar collectors:

Vacuum tube collectors are more efficient that flat plate collectors. They have an increased output in winter months.

Due to their modular design in the unlikely event of the collector ever being damaged, a vacuum tube solar collector will keep working (although with a reduction in output) and one tube can easily be replaced.

We install Ritter vacuum tube collectors.

  •     Range of sizes (modular design)
  •     Reflector plate to improve energy collection
  •     Solar Keymark approved
